One Step Towards Changing the World !!

I have learned that I will not change the world.  Jesus will do that.  I can, however, help change the world for one person.  So, I keep stopping and loving one person at a time.  Because this is my call as a Christian. This reminds me of the story of the old man who saw the little boy throwing starfish into the ocean and asked him what he was doing because there were thousands on the beach that were going to die and he wasn’t going to be able to save them all but the little boy smiled and said, “it made a difference to that one!” We all have the opportunity to help create positive change, but sometimes I find myself thinking, “I’m already really busy, and how much of a difference can I really make?” So when I catch myself thinking that way, it helps me to remember this story. I might not be able to change the entire world, but at least I can change a small part of it, for someone.

					1) Pray for the team from Kenwood Heights, as they are doing Children’s Ministry in Los Perez today	2) Thank the Lord for the 300 teens that went to the Cristo Urbano youth retreat last weekend and praise God for the two baptisms at the camp
3) Pray for the group from FCC Champaign as they are building relationships with our youth group today through volleyball	4) Pray for Eddie, one of our basketball coaches, and the doctors as they are trying to figure out what is wrong with him	5) Pray for the summer interns that our leaving the Dominican, that God will bless them in the next chapter of their lives	6) Pray for the crew from Indiana Wesleyan University, as they are doing construction on our Leadership Development Complex this week	7) Pray for Sports for the Nations as they are doing a basketball clinic in the Hole today and tomorrow	8) Pray for the group from The Ridge, as they are doing construction on our medical clinic today	9) Pray for the team from Woodview Christian Church, as they are doing Vacation Bible Schools at La Hoya del Cambranan and Villa Cafatalera today
10) Pray for the funds for the LDC, that will serve more than1,000 kids through sports and millions of people as leaders are formed	11) Pray for the GO Kids program that is equipping tomorrow’s leaders by providing a quality Christian education for students	12) Pray for the missionaries’ personal walks with the Lord, that they may never regress as we follow the path that He has given us (Isaiah 30:20-21)	13) Pray for the crew from Tennessee Tech, as they are helping out with our basketball academy this week	14) Pray for the Nidea-Beaupre Medical Team, as they are doing a medical clinic in Canca la Reyna today	15) Pray for Reunion Church from Boston, as they are treating patients in La Mosca today	16) Pray for Parkview Christian Church, as they show God’s love to the kids in Los Salados today
17) Pray for our 7 Christian-owned enterprises that build spiritual integrity, develop business skills for future leaders, provide employment and generate revenue for sustainable ministry	18) Thank God that thousands are served each year through the GO medical clinic and its remote clinics	19) Pray for the new larger medical clinic that is being built that will offer general medical care, eye care, dental care and medicines to those in need	20) Pray for Lenae’s friend, Vanessa, as she is coming to visit GO Ministries for the week and coming to the Dominican for her first time	21) Pray for the cooks in our 11 nutrition centers across the island that feed over 1,000 children a hot meal each day	22) Pray for our coaches teaching 1,750 at-risk youth that participate in our GO sports leagues, clinics and academies learning discipline, leadership and character skills	23) Pray for the GO construction workers as they work hard as leaders (Proverbs 12:24)
24) Pray for our 37 preachers in the Dominican and Haiti as they are sharing God’s word today	25) Pray for the center that hosts 20 men in the drug and alcohol recovery program	26) Thank the Lord for  all of the supporters who generously give to GO Ministries	27) Pray that God will continue to strengthen and grow our youth group	28) Pray for GO staff’s unsaved loved ones that they will come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9)	29) Pray that God will open up the doors and provide more staff for GO Ministries	30) Thank God for all of our summer teams that have encouraged and loved on our staff and local leaders

I am extremely thankful for this incredible camp, my awesome husband and our amazing youth group! Thank you Lord for blessing me the way that you have and for allowing my lil sis to experience her first Cristo Urbano youth retreat! Sunday has now been added in to the video as well!
