1) Thank God for the rain
this past week and continue to pray for more to end this drought in the
Caribbean
|
2) Praise the Lord for a
great summer with 40 teams, 51 Vacation Bible Schools, 31 field days, 6
medical clinics, 6 sports camps and 7 service projects
|
3) Pray for all of the
teams as they begin booking their dates for their 2016 trip
|
4) Thank God for the
community that exists between our team and pray that we continue to exemplify the body of Christ
|
5) Pray for the youth group
as they grow closer to each other and the Lord and for safe travels today as
we fellowship at the beach
|

6) Thank the Lord for our
full-time staff, summer staff and interns who did an incredible job working
with teams this summer
|
7) Pray for Bryan who is
working on creating a database system for our team to help us work more
efficiently
|
8) Praise God for the 16
new partnerships that have been developed this year between our local leaders
and team members
|
9) Pray for the two
families who are planning to move to the Dominican this fall/winter to join
staff full-time
|
10) Give thanks to the Lord
for our end of the summer celebration thanking all of our local leaders for
their hard work and dedication
|
11) Pray for the students
and teachers in the GO school as they have begun another year of classes
|
12) Give thanks to God for
the fourth year of classes for our seminary and pray for the senior class as
they begin their internships
|
13) Pray for our local
leaders who have taken on supervisory roles in their areas of ministry
|
14) Please pray for Olivia,
one of our interns who was injured this summer, that she will continue to
heal and restore her strength
|
15) Praise the Lord for the
first member of the women’s basketball outreach who was baptized this summer
|
16) Pray for all of our
sports coaches as they minister to all of the youth in our baseball and
basketball academies
|
17) Thank God for the
player from our baseball academy who was signed to the Seattle Mariners as a
pitcher and pray that he can share the love of Christ with his new teammates
|
18) Pray for all of the
women traveling to attend the women’s conference this weekend that they would
be encouraged and uplifted in their walk with Christ
|
19) Pray for Nikki, the speaker from Indiana who is
coming to share a message with the ladies tonight
|
20) Pray for Dr. Belsabeth
as she shares God’s Word with the patients she sees on a daily basis
|
21) Pray for the golf
outing in the Chicago area today as the vision of GO is shared and the
ministry continues to grow
|
22) Pray for the staff kids
as they grow up in the Dominican culture and are a witness in their classes
at school
|
23) Pray for our staff
retreat this week as we gather for a time of worship and renewal
|
24) Thank the Lord for all
of our teams that worked on our cisterns at the Leadership Development
Complex
|
25) Continue to pray for
family members of our staff who are battling cancer
|
26) Praise God for the
success of our GO store where teams
continued to support the ministry through their purchases
|
27) Thank the Lord for all
of the hard work that went into developing our new website and that it
continues to communicate the mission of GO
|
28) Give thanks to God for
the 3,000 patients seen by our medical teams this past summer
|
29) Continue to pray that
Isaias’ visa will be approved so we can travel to the states at Christmas
time
|
30) Give
thanks to the Lord for all of the prayers for Generoso’s healing and the
inspiration that he has become to all those he comes in contact with

30 Pray that our youth group may live as
children of light, producing goodness, righteousness and truth
|
31 Pray that the Dominicans and Haitians will
forsake spirit worship in exchange for worshipping the one true, loving,
merciful and forgiving God
|
1 Praise the Lord for the six baptisms that
we celebrated at the Cristo Urbano retreat and pray for them as they continue
to grow in their relationship with Christ
|

2 Thank God for Felix Florentino who
faithfully visits, prays for and encourages the sick in our church
|
3 Pray for Fran Denier, one of our
construction workers, that he can continue to daily seek the Lord for
guidance and wisdom
|
4 Pray for us as we are learning to trust God’s
perfect timing with the green card situation
|
5 Ask God to enable us to share the message
of Christ clearly so it can be understood by those who hear it
|
6 Pray that the Lord will give Dominican
followers hearts that desire to pray and pray His will
|
7 Ask the Lord to fill our staff with His
Spirit for serving, learning and growing and interacting with the Dominicans
and Haitians
|
8 Pray that what happens in our lives will
serve to advance the Gospel of Christ Jesus
|
9 Pray for our leadership team for God’s
wisdom, insight and decisiveness for making decisions that affect the
organization as a whole
|
10 Pray that we will be filled with the
knowledge of God’s will through all the wisdom and understanding that the
Spirit gives
|
11 God has been gracious to flourish GO
Ministries. Ask God to connect our organization with schools, colleges,
businesses and churches worldwide
|
12 Ask God to fully staff GO Ministries and to
raise up volunteers that can use their gifts and abilities to further God’s
kingdom here on earth
|
13 Give thanks and praise God for our interns
spending the summer serving cross-culturally. Pray for them as they return to
the US to keep their enthusiasm for God’s mission
|
14 Give thanks and praise God for the
opportunity for short term teams to experience and show God’s love to
children in the Dominican Republic
|
15 Pray that our community will increasingly
desire to know the love of God and will learn that a relationship with a
loving God is possible because of the sacrifice of God’s Son
|
16 Pray that God empowers our youth group to
put off their old selves and put on their new selves, being made new in their
minds and attitudes
|
17 Pray for the staff to know God’s love that
surpasses knowledge in order to be filled to the measure of all the fullness
of God
|
18 Pray that the truth of the Gospel be
preached and the light of the Gospel penetrate Dominican’s hearts
|
19 Pray that we will imitate Christ with
tenderness and compassion to all that we come in contact with
|
20 Ask God to guide and use GO Ministries to
cause people to be utterly amazed at seeing God at work in the Dominican
Republic
|
21 Pray for God to bless those who have committed
to partnering, both by prayer and financially
|
22 Pray for our friend Yrina as she is getting
married today and that they will have a healthy and Godly marriage
|
23 Ask God to allow the youth group to see His
hand at work and to experience the power of extraordinary prayer
|
24 Pray that our staff promotes unity among
fellow workers and local believers by exercising daily patience, forgiveness
and love for one another
|
25 Pray for wisdom, sensitivity and
appropriate boldness for our staff and local leaders
|
26 Please pray that our church will continue
to grow, mature, pray and desire to be righteous
|
27 Pray that God’s Word is embraced and
trusted by the Dominicans in such a way that reveals to believers and
unbelievers alike that there is no one like God
|
28 Please continue to pray that God will raise
up the remaining needed monthly partners
|
29 Pray for new leaders in the church as well
as new members to grow and understand the Word of God
|
