Church Camp 2014 !!

Thank you to everybody who supported and prayed for the Cristo Urbano youth retreat! We had an incredible weekend of fellowship with over 300 youth who enjoyed worshipping our Almighty God together, including two baptisms! This video is just from Friday and Saturday, still need to add Sunday in but just wanted to go ahead and share with you all!

Power of Prayer !!

This past month I really saw the power of prayer, my mom and sis were at a Bible Bowl tournament and they passed out our prayer cards and were praying for the funds to come in for the Cristo Urbano camp at the end of this month and we received a check for $3,500! This is the first time that we have had all of the money this far in advance so we can better plan and prepare and not have to take it from GO general funds! I also learned as they were praying for my Spanish; that I don't doubt myself, I doubt God's ability to use me. I doubt His ability to uniquely create me for the path He has laid out. He chose me for this position. He carefully placed me as a youth leader's wife and missionary in the Dominican Republic. Unfortunately, that fear and doubt often leaves me paralyzed. And being paralyzed means I'm wholly incapable of moving forward in God's design for me. Living life paralyzed by fear and doubt means I'm going to miss out. The cost of missing out is greater than the cost of messing up. God has supernaturally scripted a customized plan with my name on it and He has a supernaturally customized script for me. God has wired me, gifted me and uniquely placed me in the ministry He has me in now. There is no other person He wants for this role other than me and I just thank God for giving me the strength that I need daily to make it through! I need to not rob the Kingdom of God of who I was meant to be and not waste my time trying to be someone else. God has a unique purpose for my life and only I can fulfill it.
